The Excellence in Public Procurement and Best Practices Awards recognizes agencies that meet/exceed benchmarks and best practices in the Procurement Profession.
The Excellence in Public Procurement Award is given to member agencies that strive in their continued quest for excellence and only eighteen distinguished agencies received the award in 2021.
The Best Practice Award specifically recognizes FAPPO member agencies that demonstrate excellence through operational improvements that have a positive impact within their agency, for their community and stakeholders, or to the public procurement profession. It recognizes agencies that have initiated innovative and creative strategies that are transferable, and their contributions provide other agencies with a blueprint to execute comparable enhancements in their organization.
Both awards were presented to Celeste S. Walker-Harmon, Assistant Finance Director for Procurement, as being primarily responsible for developing the “Electronic RFP Scoring Application” with the assistance of the Information Technology Department.
