Approval of minutes
The minutes from the April meeting were circulated for approval. Motion: Katherine deBlij motioned to approve the April meeting minutes. Sam Joseph seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Golden Gables
Higgins Fallon distributed copies of the May-July Golden Gables. The issue includes a front page introductory message from the new City Manager.
Information Technology Update
Raimundo Rodulfo from the IT Department presented a proposed project that will secure consulting services to improve the look of the City’s website. This includes web design and upgrade of technology from content management to Microsoft’s new Share Point. Leslie Pantin suggested including Moré as the Committee’s representative on this project.
Upcoming Events
Higgins Fallon reported on events her office is working on: The co-designation of William Kerdyk Sr. Avenue, Coral Gables Restaurant Week, and a renaissance project to improve the aesthetics of the waterways.
Coral Gables Television
Higgins Fallon showed a 20-minute video interview about swine flu prevention. Pantin indicated the importance of this type of effective communications to prevent panic in the community.
