I would like to nominate Detective Natalie Rivera from the Youth Resource Unit for Detective of the 2"4 Quarter, 2026. Detective Rivera demonstrated excellent investigatory skills and hands on approach in handling a complex investigation involving two subjects and arresting them in a timely fashion. A disturbing cases was cleared due to her work ethic, investigative skill set and determination.
Synopsis: Cases # 26-004048
On May 31, 2026, a parent came to the station to report his son was being extorted for money. His son, who has cerebral palsy, was being bullied into paying money to two classmates (subjects). The subjects would call the victim names and send extremely violent videos threatening violence if victim did not pay them over $900.00. Detective Rivera worked feverously and quickly to stop this bullying and quickly identified the two subjects. She was able to establish probable cause to arrest the two subjects, identify their home residence and apprehend both subjects within two weeks. This brought great relief to the handicap victim and his parents.
For these reasons, I wholeheartedly believe Detective Rivera is truly worthy of Detective of the 2™ Quarter, 2026
