Congratulations to Nicolas Saenz who holds the title of P/T Communications Specialist, recipient of the “Part-Time Employee of the Quarter Award,” for the second quarter in 2021.

The nomination was submitted by Martha Pantin, Director of Communications and Public Affairs, who stated the following:
“I would like to nominate Nicolas Saenz as part time employee of the quarter. Nicolas is not only a team player, but he is a utility player like they say in baseball able to handle many positions well. He has excelled in all projects and special assignments he has undertaken. He is always willing and eager to learn and undertake new challenges and is respected by his peers and works well with others throughout the city.
The focus of the Communications and Public Affairs has changed over the past nine months. We are evolving from being a cable TV station to an office of communications. Less than a year ago Nicolas primary function was as a videographer editor. He has morphed into an integral member of the communications team.
Additional duties he has undertaken included but are not limited budgeting, procurement liaison, special events and special projects. His work was critical to achieving a flawless induction ceremony, opening of the Police and Fire Headquarters Building among other projects.
He is currently leading the charge on public information for hurricane preparedness as well as on planning the city's outreach program in our efforts to improve the City's rating as it related to FEMA flood insurance.
Nicolas is always willing to help in whatever is asked of him and is never afraid to roll-up his sleeves to get it done.
For all of these reasons I nominate Nicolas Saenz as part-time employee of the quarter.”
