The minutes from the May meeting were circulated for approval. Motion: Sam Joseph motioned to approve the May meeting minutes. David Stiefel seconded the motion and it passed unanimously.
Higgins Fallon distributed the May-July issue of Golden Gables.
Raimundo Rodulfo reported that Information Technology is assisting the Office of the City Clerk in the implementation of a public record search system for the web. This will allow the public to search online for available documents such as ordinances, resolutions and any other public record processed by the City Clerk.
Higgins Fallon provided an update regarding the 2010 Census. She distributed a map with the census questionnaire response rate around Coral Gables. The map indicates that the majority of Coral Gables has a response rate of 72 percent so far, except the area surrounding the University of Miami. The North Gables area has the highest participation rate in the city with 80 percent, surpassing the national average of 72 percent.
Higgins Fallon reported about the following upcoming events:
· Rededication ceremony of Riviera Park which is scheduled for June 1 at 5 p.m. to celebrate the renovations at the park.
· Summer Camps are starting at the Youth Center the second week of June.
Higgins Fallon showed the video produced by CGTV regarding the 85th Anniversary Celebration of the City. She also showed a special Father's Day segment. Higgins Fallon also distributed the latest copy of e-News.
