At the January 25, 2022, City Commission meeting, the Commission approved the transition of management and operations of the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club to the Community Recreation Department. The City assumed management of the facility on May 1, 2022. Due to the urgency and number of critical operational matters requiring immediate attention, Bid Waiver BW 2022-047 was approved to allow the timely procurement of the supplies, equipment, and services necessary to operate the facility.
Following the transition, Neighborhood Tennis was engaged to provide tennis instruction, programming, leagues, camps, and related management services at the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club tennis facility. On August 22, 2023, the City Commission approved Resolution No. 2023-234 authorizing a new Tennis Program Management Service Agreement with Neighborhood Tennis pursuant to a Special Procurement/Bid Waiver.
Since that time, Neighborhood Tennis has continued to provide quality tennis instruction, programming, and customer service in support of the successful operation of the Coral Gables Golf and Country Club tennis facility.
