Brief History
On August 30th 2011, the City of Coral Gables entered into construction contract IFB 2011.05.05 with Metro Equipment Service, Inc. for the purpose of implementing the Pump Station "E" Upgrades Project as indicated in Resolution 2011-151 dated July 19th 2011.  The project consists of converting Sanitary Sewer Pump Station "E" from a wet/dry well station to a submersible station.
 
The change order covers $27,444.69 of additional expenses that have been incurred by the contractor due to unforeseen conditions.  The additional expenditures represent a 4.4% increase to the original purchase order from $618,000.00 to $645,444.69.
 
The Pump Station "E" Upgrades Project is funded by Sanitary Sewer Fees.  Sufficient project funds are currently budgeted and available to cover the additional expense.
