Division Chief Martin began his career with the City as a Fire Recruit in February 1990 and completed his training in March 1990. He received his EMT status in May 1992 and State Paramedic Certification in November 1994. In October 1995 he was assigned to Rescue and was awarded Advanced Training Pay beginning in November 1995. He earned a promotion to Fire Lieutenant in June 2005 and became involved in Recruit Training in October 2006. In June 2008, Chief Martin was appointed to Staff Captain and assigned to Administration, promoted to Fire Captain in January 2009 and then promoted to Division Chief in February 2009.
Chief Martin is a great asset to the department and has always been a "go to guy" who has the ability to lead and direct his crews in a positive manner. He communicates effectively and motivates his team by example.
The City appreciates and congratulates Division Chief Martin's for his dedicated service and loyalty for the last 20 years.
