On December 20, 2024, Coreland Construction Corp was awarded the contract for the replacement of the fuel station concrete slab at the Trolley Depot through a competitive solicitation process issued as IFB 2024-035 in the amount of $64,652.87.
The project included the following scope of services: replace the damaged existing fuel station concrete slab with a new and improved slab. The additional spending authority being requested will cover repairs to the asphalt joint, which sustained damage over time as the condition of the slab deteriorated.
Under Section 2-764 of the Procurement Code entitled “Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications,” the spending authority shall be modified in the amount of $10,000, or an amount not to exceed available budget. This modification will provide the additional funds necessary to address the repairs to the asphalt joint required to complete the project.

Addressing this item will eliminate the need for ongoing temporary repairs and associated maintenance costs, resulting in more efficient use of resources.
