Over the past 10 years Special Ops Tactical LLC (SOT) has specialized in designing, engineering and manufacturing high quality functional refinements to the AR Rifle platform which they are the sole and independent source of.  It is their policy to sell their products directly to Government and Law Enforcement Agencies.

 

It is the policy of Special Ops Tactical LLC to sell their products directly to Government and Law Enforcement Agencies; and

 

The Patrol Rifle Packages for the Police Department are purchased from Special Ops Tactical LLC.  They are the sole source distributor in the State of Florida for patented (US PAT NO. 10,274,273) recoil reducing firearms in various configurations.

 

 

Recommended Action

The Police Department is requesting authorization for the purchase of twenty (20) Rifle Patrol Packages from Special Ops Tactical LLC. with an estimated amount of $32,626.50 as a “Sole Source” pursuant to Section 2-689 of the City’s Procurement Code.
