Driver Engineer Jensen has been selected September’s Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically for his hard work and dedication to the department.
There is an incredible talent pool within the ranks of our Fire Department. Driver Engineer Jensen has consistently gone above and beyond what is required in his position, taking pride and ownership in the new squad. He has served as an exemplary role model for all his coworkers. He spear-headed the creation of the truck check sheet and has been instrumental in teaching many of his colleagues the ins and outs of the cascade system and this is just withing the last month.
If I were to list everything D/E Jensen does beyond what is required of him, you would be reading this nomination for quite a while. His value was especially evident during the high-angle rescue call on San Remo. He was instrumental in that rescue and has been described as the MVP of the call. From setting up the grip hoist, to configuring the hauling and lowering system, to gearing up and standing ready in case of a fire, D/E Jensen excelled in every aspect.
Due to his outstanding work ethic and dedication to the Fire Department, Driver Engineer Jensen is nominated for Firefighter of the month for September 2024.
