TITLE
A Resolution recommending that the City Commission award the construction contract for the construction of a roundabout at Coral Way and Segovia Street, Coral Gables, Florida, to Solution Construction, Inc., the lowest and most responsive bid, in an amount not to exceed $ 704,000.00.
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION
That a Resolution awarding the construction contract for the construction of a roundabout at Coral Way and Segovia Street, Coral Gables, Florida, to Solution Construction, Inc., the lowest and most responsive bid, in an amount not to exceed $704,000.00, be approved by the City Commission.
BRIEF HISTORY
Construction of this roundabout was approved by the Miami-Dade County under Joint Participation Agreement passed by the City Commission under Resolution No. 2007-186, dated August 28, 2007.
The work involves the construction of asphaltic concrete pavement, sidewalk, curb and gutter, drainage structures, sodding, roadway restoration and installation of street lighting at the proposed roundabout at the intersection of Coral Way and Segovia Street, Coral Gables. The contract is for a not to exceed amount of $704,000.00.

JVA Engineering Contractor
The City of Coral Gables Public Works Department and the Miami-Dade County Department of Community Small Business (CSBE) reviewed the bids and information submitted. The City of Coral Gables Public Works Department recommends the contract for construction of a roundabout at the intersection of Coral Way and Segovia Street, be awarded to the lowest and most responsive bid, Solution Construction, Inc., 7955 N. W. 12 St., #425, Miami, Florida 33126.
