The nomination was submitted by Raimundo Rodulfo, and Nelson Gonzalez from the Information Technology Department, which provided the following:
“We would like to nominate Roger Rodriguez for employee of the month. Roger works as an IT Specialist under Nelson Gonzalez supervision at the IT's Network, Security and Telecommunications Division. Roger's diligent work, technical skills and resourcefulness have been crucial for our department during the implementation of a variety of services and initiatives for the City, including the most recent project for the new Passport Office.”
Nelson Gonzalez provided the following:
“I would like to commend network division team member Roger Rodriguez for the outstanding work he did on the 4520 project. During the many stages of this project several setbacks were encountered. Roger's ability to work with other city departments and third party vendors was key to overcome some these setbacks.
I would also like to recommend him for employee of the month. He played the following roles:
· Assisted Network Manager to select the appropriate technical solutions for the site
· Assisted the Network manager gather low voltage quotes for the site
· Coordinated the low voltage work with contractor until completion
· Assisted Network Manager to configure and deploy a contingence telecommunications solution for the site Assisted Network Manager to coordinate with members of other IT divisions the acquisition and deployment computer, deskphone, and printer, Qflow
· Worked with other departments to expedite the approval of the necessary work permits
· Coordinated telecom circuit installation with carrier. His perseverance played an important role on getting this circuit delivered last Monday
