Title

Resolution authorizing the waiver of “short-term” parking fee payments for a period of twenty-four months during construction, pursuant to Section 74-140 of the City Code, in consideration for proposed streetscape improvements, beyond what is required by Code.

Body

Mr. Mario J. Garcia-Serra of Greenberg Traurig, P.A., on behalf of the Palace Management Group LLC has requested that the City waive parking fee payments, in consideration for the additional streetscape improvements requested by City staff, during the City’s plan review process, and which are not required by Code.

The additional landscape improvements are proposed along Andalusia Avenue, south of the Palace building, west of the Parking Garage, and wrapping around the SE and NE corners of Galiano Street. The proposed improvements along Galiano Street will reduce the number of meter spaces by one.

This request has a value of $42,000 per year, or $84,000 for the 24 month period, while the additional streetscape improvements has a value of $95,950 (Attached).
