The City was awarded a competitive grant from the Florida Division of Emergency Management (FDEM) for the Coral Gables Citywide Drainage Phase I Project in the amount of $74,546 to be used for the surveying, engineering, design, plans preparation, permitting and bidding costs of the project. Upon completion of Phase I, Phase II of the project in the amount of $42,151 will be awarded to be used for construction cost.
The total project cost is $500,000 of which $450,000 is from FDEM and $50,000 is from the City of Coral Gables. This project has been allocated in two phases by FDEM.
An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Annual Budget is required to recognize the $74,546 grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the grant expenditures.
