Congratulations to Lieutenant Christopher Ayala recipient of the City of Coral Gables "Firefighter of the Month Award" for September 2023.

Lieutenant Ayala has been selected September's Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically for his hard work and dedication to the department.

 

There is an incredible talent pool within the ranks of our Fire Department. His initiative to raise money for Lt. James and his family for Elisha and his cancer goes beyond any words. Over $10,000.00 was raised for Lt. James exclusively within our department.  This is an example of outstanding leadership and brotherhood. The James family expressed how this brought a huge amount of financial peace to them by this generous act of kindness. Lt. Ayala is an outstanding officer and exudes excellent leadership on a daily basis.

 

Due to his outstanding work ethic and dedication to the Fire Department, Lieutenant Ayala is nominated for Firefighter of the month for September 2023.
