Recommendation of The City Manager
It is recommended that The Village of Merrick Park be permitted to sell alcoholic beverages on Monday, May 18, 2009, from 7:30 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at The Village of Merrick Park and San Lorenzo Avenue, during "A Taste of Miami: Coral Gables" to promote Coral Gables to Pow Wow participants (Buyers, Tour Operators and Delegates) pursuant to requirements set forth by the State of Florida Department of Professional Regulation and City Special Event Committee provisions.
 
Brief History
The event consists of 600 to 800 patrons. Live music will be provided by Bossa Nova. Electricity for the performance is provided by the Village of Merrick Park. Music will cease at 10:00 p.m.
 
This event has been reviewed by the City's Special Event Committee.
