Congratulations to Dania Rodriguez, Finance Department, recipient of the City of Coral Gables Employee of the Month Award, for the month of January 2013.

The nomination was submitted by Diana Gomez, Finance Department, which provided the following:
"It is my pleasure to nominate Dania Rodriguez as the Employee of the Month for January 2013. Dania started working for the City of Coral Gables in March 1990 as an Accountant I. In August 1992 Dania was promoted to an Accountant II. I am very pleased to say that in just a few months from now she will be celebrating twenty-three years with the City, and more importantly, with the Finance Department.
In that time Dania has proven herself to be a conscientious, hard-working and dedicated employee. She is one of those rare individuals whose personal mission is to go the extra mile not only to perform her assigned responsibilities, but to help any employee who needs information or the resolution of a finance related issue. Staff from within Finance and from other City departments, rely on Dania for the consistent accuracy of her work and the dedication she puts into it.
Dania is a team player; a much needed trait during preparation of the annual financial statements as well as during the preparation of the City's quarterly reports. During her twenty-three year tenure, Dania has developed vast institutional knowledge and a level of professionalism that is invaluable to the Finance Department and the City overall."
