A Resolution authorizing the sale of alcohol and waiving the parking rental fee of $2,580.00 after 3:30 p.m., on the 100 block of Giralda Avenue on the first Friday of each month from November 2015 through April 2016, for a total of six events, for the Giralda Under the Stars street dining series, subject to Florida Department of Professional Regulations requirements.

The Giralda Under the Stars program which started seven years ago by the Business Improvement District (BID), has been well received by the public and business community. Restaurants on the 100 block of Giralda Avenue strongly support this program and they will set up dining tables in the public right of way, sell alcohol, and provide music on November 6, 2015, December 4, 2015, January 8, 2016, February 5, 2016, March 4, 2016, and April 1, 2016.
The BID is requesting a waiver of payment of parking meter fees for this event, in the total amount of $2,580.00. A letter from Marina Foglia, Executive Director of the Business Improvement District, requesting the waiver of payment for parking meters is attached. This request has been reviewed and approved by the City’s Special Events Committee on September 11, 2015.
