Presentation of 20 years service pin to Officer Laura Kaminsky, Police Department.

Laura started her career at the City in January 1991 as a Police Officer. Through the years she has dedicated herself to her career, her department and community safety. She is currently addressing the responsibilities of the Uniform Patrol Division as a Master Police Officer. She was assigned to the Accreditation Section on a part-time basis and has been instrumental in the Police Department's Accreditation process. In addition Laura has contributed time as a Supplemental Marine Patrol Officer.
Her past assignments and accomplishments include the Juvenile Investigations/Criminal Investigation Division, Drug Abuse Resistance Education Instructor, Field Training Officer, Departmental Photographer, Founding Member of the Police Department's Honor Guard Unit and Police Academy Instructor.
Laura maintains multiple talents, skills and expertise as shown in her participation in the Hurricane Andrew Operations, FTAA and Summit of the Americas in past years. She has accepted prestigious awards for her performance for the Employee Excellence Award and the Officer of the Month. Laura continues to increase her knowledge in numerous areas through classes and seminars and is working towards completing her Masters Degree in Criminology.
Officer Kaminsky is a great asset to both the City and the Community and is congratulated for her 20 years of dedication, loyalty, and service.
