Brief History:
The Coral Gables Police Department identified a need to improve its vehicle traffic accident investigative abilities. The traffic accident reconstruction software will enhance the ability of the Special Enforcement Division within the Coral Gables Police Department to more efficiently diagram, reconstruct, and investigate vehicle accidents.
The State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement awarded the Coral Gables Police Department a Drug Control and System Improvement Grant in the amount of $5,243 to purchase the accident reconstruction software.
An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2012-2013 Annual Budget is required to recognize the $5,243 grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the cost of the grant expenditures.
