Eric Machado, IT Department, had this to say about Guillermo:

Guillermo Cuevas has been working in the IT Department for almost 4 years and has just completed his first full year of full-time status. Currently Guillermo serves as the main Field Support Specialist for all first level computer, phone, network and mobile PC issues for all departments and offices at City Hall and the neighboring 427 building. Guillermo also provides on-site technical support for all Commission meetings and has been cross-trained in supporting other city locations such as the Youth Center, Salvador and Biltmore tennis centers, Venetian Pool, and the Facilities at 72^nd Avenue. Furthermore, Guillermo is on rotation for after-hours emergency support issues and has been an integral part of the completion of many critical tasks such as Police and Fire vehicle mobile PC updates, network migrations, PC deployments, office relocations and more. Guillermo takes pride in being an ambassador for the IT Department at City Hall and consistently strives to make every city employee's technical needs a priority.

In addition, Carlos Oliver, who nominated Guillermo, indicated that he went above and beyond to help Carlos on his own time.
