Body
Resolution No. 2009-341 was passed and adopted on December 15, 2009 electing to use the uniform method of collecting non-ad valorem special assessment for fire protection services to property within the incorporated area of the City, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2010.

Section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, requires that the City hold a public hearing and adopt a resolution of intent to use the uniform method of collection for any assessment program including any outstanding amounts due in the calendar year prior to any such collection.  The non-ad valorem assessments for fire protection services to residential and commercial properties within the City will be collected by the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector in the same manner as provided for ad valorem taxes.
