Body

The Coral Gables Police Department submitted an application to the State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement under the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program.

 

The State of Florida Department of Law Enforcement (FDLE) has awarded the Coral Gables Police Department an Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG-C) in the amount of $7,970.00 to purchase equipment that will enhance community policing and engagement. The Police Department received notification of the grant Award Number C-6N163 awarded by FDLE on June 6, 2025.

 

 

Recommended Action

That the City Commission hereby authorizes the acceptance and execution of grant funds in the amount of $7,970.00 allocated to the Coral Gables Police Department from the Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant Program. That the City Commission hereby authorizes an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Annual Budget to recognize the $7,970.00 grant funds as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the cost of the grant expenditures.
