Resolution authorizing the waiving of the cost of parking meter rentals for the 59th Annual Beaux Arts Festival of Art.

This is a long standing community event scheduled for January 9th and 10th, 2010 on Stanford Drive within the University of Miami. The standard cost of the 47 metered spaces for this event would be $470.00. Section 74-140(f) of the City Code states that a request for a waiver of payment for parking meters shall be made directly to the City Commission. A letter from Victoria Colross Hucks, co-chairman Beaux Arts Festival of Art Ground Committee requesting the waiver of payment for parking meters is attached. This effort is intended to support development and celebration of the arts within our community.
