Firefighter John Zipse has been selected October's Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically for dedicating his time and efforts to mentor and train the department's extrication team. Firefighter Zipse brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge in the field of extrication which he generously shares with the new members of the extrication team.  Firefighter Zipse's work ethics and devotion to competing is motivating and appreciated by the team members.
