Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the Miracle Theater Stucco and Sealant Repairs contract to The Sundown Group, Inc., pursuant to Invitation For Bid (IFB) 2014.03.13 and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code entitled "Contract Award".

The Miracle Theater Stucco and Sealant Repairs project entails exterior stucco repairs, joint sealant repairs, and repainting of the building exterior, including, but not limited to, survey, inspection, and testing; patching and repairing exterior cracks in stucco; cut-out and patching delaminated stucco and areas with damaged corner beads; repairing and replacing joint sealants; repainting exterior surfaces; and replacing existing exterior louvers.
On March 13, 2014, the Procurement Division formally advertised, issued and distributed the Miracle Theater Stucco and Sealant Repairs Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2014.03.13.
On March 20, 2014, a non-mandatory pre-bid conference was held followed by a site visit to the Miracle Theater building with seven (7) prospective bidders attending out of a total of twenty (20) prospective bidders who obtained the bid package from the Procurement Division.
On April 10, 2014, seven (7) bid responses were received from the following: Gecko Group, Inc., The Sundown Group, Inc., ABC Construction, Inc., Lego Construction Company, Epic Construction, Inc. Lee Construction Group, Inc., and Alen Construction Group, Inc.
The lowest responsive responsible bidder for this project was determined to be The Sundown Group, Inc. with a total bid of $99,780.
The Public Works Department concurs with the recommendation to award The Sundown Group, Inc. the Miracle Theater Stucco and Sealant Repairs contract.
