Whitten University Center and the University of Miami new Student Activity Center (SAC) located at 1330 Miller Road, Coral Gables, Florida.

That the City Commission approve the request.
Brief History
As stated in the letter of request from Larry Marbert, Vice-President of Real Estate and Facilities, University of Miami, the request consists on the University of Miami removal from service pump station #9 (and its force main) and re-connect buildings to pump station #8 which will receive additional flow from the University of Miami new Student Activity Center (SAC) and The Norman A. Whitten University Center buildings.

The recommendation is subject to the following conditions of the Public Works Department:

1. That the Owner executes an Agreement approved by the City Attorney, agreeing to comply with the terms outlined in Ord. No. 2007-29 (City Code Section 78-106) and Resolution 27941.

2. That the Owner pays a connection fee concurrently upon signing the Agreement, based on the estimated gallonage. The fee has been calculated at $238,039.00.

3. The property owner shall provide the City with final plans and specifications, as prepared by a registered Civil Engineer licensed to practice in the State of Florida and fully experienced and qualified in the design of sanitary sewer systems, for approval by the City.

4. That an Agreement be executed between the University of Miami and the City before service is provided (the Applicant is responsible to attain and achieve the agreement with all the participants involved).

5. The property owner shall provide Liability Insurance in the amounts required by Resolution No. 25786, naming the City as an additional insured, and covering any damages to public or private property due to a failure in the cu...
