Title

A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing a contract modification to GPE Engineering & General Contractor Corp.’s Citywide Right of Way Improvements Project’s contract, No. IFB 2021-004, pursuant to Section 2-764 of the Procurement Code entitled “Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications,” to allow for a six (6) month contract extension until March 15, 2027, for completion of on-going right-of way projects.

Body

On August 4, 2021, GPE Engineering & General Contractor Corp. was awarded the Citywide Right of Way Improvement contract through a competitive solicitation process issued as IFB 2021-004, in the estimated annual amount of $1,200,000 or not to exceed to available budget.

 

Said contract provided for an initial three (3) year term with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year terms with the last term expiring September 15, 2026. A six (6) month extension to GPE Engineering & General Contractor Corp.’s existing contract will be necessary to complete various programmed right-of-way projects.

 

Pursuant to Section 2-764 of the Procurement Code entitled “Approval of Change Orders and Contract Modifications, the contract terms may be extended.

Fiscal Impact

N/A. Contract modification is only to extend contract period to allow completion of existing approved and budgeted projects.
