Firefighter Fernandez has been selected May’s Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically for his hard work and dedication to the department.
There is an incredible talent pool within the ranks of our Fire Department. He has gone above and beyond with training and certifying all new firefighters in Vehicle Extrication for the last 10 years. His unwavering professionalism and commitment to excellence have made our department better. His commitment has been extended beyond the boundaries of the City of Coral Gables and for this we are grateful.
