Firefighter Dave Drescher has been selected December’s Firefighter of the Month for his meritorious display of job performance specifically for his job knowledge and calm demeanor during emergency medical calls. After 27 years on the job, he still maintains a “can do” positive attitude and is one of our department’s best paramedics. Firefighter Drescher has become a valuable asset to our department by training and mentoring young and upcoming paramedics teaching them a positive work ethic along with a skill set second to none. Firefighter Drescher never complains and always shows empathy for his patients.
Firefighter Drescher has responded to a myriad of emergency medical calls including shootings and drug overdoses. It is in these stressful situations that Firefighter Drescher truly excels. His composed, serene manner is always evident, instilling confidence in those that work around him.
We are fortunate to have Firefighter Drescher in our department and happy to honor him as the Firefighter of the Month for December.
