Presentation of 20 year service pin to Ronald Crumbley, Public Service Department
Body
Ron began his career with the City Beautiful in April 1988 as a Maintenance Worker I in the Landscape Maintenance Division.  He was promoted to Maintenance Worker II in April 1995.  Ron continued to increase and expand his talents and skills and was rewarded with another promotion in June 1998 to Equipment Operator II and was again promoted in December 1998 to the challenging position of Foreman.

Through the years, Ron has consistently gone the extra mile to contribute his time and talents to assist with many outside organizations, committees and events.   For example, in January 1999 he served as a volunteer during the 50th Anniversary of the Junior Orange Bowl Parade, "Happy Days, Happy Kids" event.  He also contributed immensely to 2 events at the Coral Gables Merrick House, the Grotto Renovation Celebration and the dedication of Raul E. Valdes-Fauli Archives Collection Center.  As the Nursery Foreman, he did an excellent job on every assignment, always willing to do any job or type of work asked of him all the while displaying an exceptional work attitude.  In addition, he volunteers for City and department committees and does a great job of representing his team.  Ron is proactive at learning more about his job and regularly puts new knowledge to use in the workplace.

Ron was selected Employee of the Month for September 1999 and was Employee of the Year for 1999.

Ron currently serves as the first Vice President of the Coral Gables Employee Association and effectively advocates for the employees he represents.

The City is grateful for Ron's service, positive attitude, and contributions, and looks forward to a continued relationship for years to come.
