Body
[The City Forfeited Asset Fund (F.A.F.) Committee met on June 6th, 2007, and approved the recommendation to expend a total of $7,197.36 or 15% of State Forfeiture Funds as required by the Florida Contraband Act. The Contraband Forfeiture Act allows the Chief of Police and the City Commission to expend or donate funds over a period of years (number of years not specified) if the minimum amount in a fiscal year would exceed the needs of the municipality for such programs as specified by the Act. If approved, a portion of the funds will be expended on the Police Athletic League (PAL) and Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) programs. The remainder of the encumbered funds will be expended or donated to school resource officer, crime prevention, safe neighborhood, drug abuse education, or drug abuse prevention programs, or as the City Commission deems appropriate. .]
