[Steve Ellinport joined the Coral Gables Police Department in October 1994. He was promoted to Sergeant in 2005 and continues to work in the Uniform Patrol Division. He was selected to be the K9 Unit Sergeant in June 2007. He was promoted to Lieutenant in March 2012. He became the K9 Lieutenant at this time, supervising until September 2014. He was transferred to the Technical Services Division on June 2014. He served as the Acting Major for TSD since July 2014.
Steve holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration from Babson College. He also holds a Juris Doctorate from the University of Miami School of Law. He is a member of the Florida Bar in good standing.
