Presentation of excerpts from the Historic Preservation Board meeting of August 20, 2015, requesting the following action:
That the City Commission adopt a Resolution authorizing Ad Valorem tax relief for the property located 1203 Asturia Avenue, a local historic landmark, legally described as Lots 17 and 18, Block 5, Coral Gables Section “E,” according to the plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 8 at Page 13 of the Public Records of Miami-Dade County, Florida. The related Special Certificate of Appropriateness, COA (SP) 2012-10, was granted design approval on September 20, 2012 by the Historic Preservation Board. Standard Certificate of Appropriateness COA (ST) 2014-094 was granted design approval on August 20, 2014 by the Historical Resources Department.
The cost of improvements is estimated at $725,000 which would correspond approximately to $4,052.03 per year and $40,520.25 over ten years. (Historic Preservation Board Vote:8-0)

On August 20, 2015, the Historic Preservation Board Unanimously (8-0) passed a motion to recommend approval of the application as presented. The related Special Certificate of Appropriateness, COA (SP) 2012-10, was granted design approval on September 20, 2012 by the Historic Preservation Board. Standard Certificate of Appropriateness COA (ST) 2014-094 was granted design approval on August 20, 2014 by the Historical Resources Department.
