Body

Pursuant to City Code Section 54.187, Solid Waste Collection Fees, the City of Coral Gables charges and collects fees for garbage and trash collection by the City of Coral Gables.

Section 197.3632, Florida Statutes, requires that the City hold a public hearing and adopt a resolution of intent to use the uniform method of collection for any assessment program in the calendar year prior to any such collection.  The non-ad valorem assessments for solid waste collection services to residential properties within the City will commence with the fiscal year beginning October 1, 2011 and the assessments will be collected by the Miami-Dade County Tax Collector in the same manner as provided for ad valorem taxes.
