Brief History

Sanitary Sewer Pump Station City No. 3 is the City’s second largest sewer pumping station located near the intersection of South Greenway Drive and Coral Way adjacent to the Granada Golf Course.  Grant funding in the amount of $500,000 was received in 2009 from the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) through Agreement LP8910 to assist in funding the rehabilitation at this station.  The station rehabilitation project is not identified in the DEP’s Consent Order No. OGC 08-2788 and therefore does not have a mandated completion date.  Project construction is scheduled to begin in January 2011 and from an operational standpoint, it is in the City’s best interest to complete the project as expeditiously as possible.  Amendment No. 1 extends the Agreement from December 31, 2010 to December 31, 2011 allowing the City sufficient time to complete the project and receive reimbursement funds.
