A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the City Manager pursuant to Request for Proposal (RFP) to select Weathertrol Maintenance Corporation as the provider of Citywide Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Services at a not to exceed amount of $ 57,000.00 per year; and further authorizing the City Manager to execute a contract for a two (2) year period with an option to renew for an additional three (3) one (1) year periods.
CITY MANAGER'S RECOMMENDATION
It is recommended that the City Commission accept the recommendation of the City Manager pursuant to Request for Proposal (RFP) to select Weathertrol Maintenance Corporation as the provider of Citywide Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Services.
BRIEF HISTORY
Procurement formally advertised and issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the provision of Citywide Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Services on June 27, 2007 and distributed the RFP to five (5) potential bidders.
On August 2, 2007, Procurement received six (6) responses to the RFP from All Confort Co., Johnson Controls, Thermo Air Inc., A&M Mechanical, Weathertrol Maintenance Corp. and Temptrol Air. Weathertrol Maintenance Corporation of Miami, Florida was selected by the evaluation committee to be the most responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications at a not to exceed amount of $ 57,000.00 per year.
Citywide Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning Services will be funded by the Public Works Department, Maintenance Division budget year 2007-2008 and subsequent budget years through the end of the contract.
Risk Management has reviewed and verified the Certificate of Insurance. On June 2, 2008 the Procurement Division of the Finance Department received the approved Certificate of Insurance.
