City Manager Recommendation

It is recommended that the City Commission accept the recommendation of the City Manager pursuant to Invitation to Bid (IFB) 2008-12-19 for Security Guard Services.  Further authorizing the City Manager to execute a two (2) year contract with an option to renew for three (3) additional (1) year periods.

 

Brief History

On December 19, 2008 the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the Security Guard Services Invitation to Bid (IFB) 2008-12-19. 

 

On February 5, 2009 fourteen (14) bid responses were received.  Of those that responded ten (10) responsive bids were submitted by:  PM Security, CSS Security, Sereca Security, Andy Frain, ISMG Security, Allied Barton, American Guard Services, Kent Security, Diamond Security, and Dothan Security.  Of those that responded four (4) non-responsive bids were submitted by:  Bayus Security and Buffalo Security Co. as these two companies did not include the 5% of the total amount Bid Bond required; World International and US Security did not acknowledge the Addenda as stipulated and required in the instructions on the form.
