A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Procurement Officer to award the Automotive Body Repairs (collision damage) to Faraco Tip Top Paint & Body Shop as the primary responsive and responsible bidder and Chino’s Ink Werks, Inc. as the secondary responsive and responsible bidder in the estimated amount of $50,000.00 annually for a period of three (3) years pursuant to Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2019-040 and Section 2-763 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”

The purpose of this Invitation to Bid was to establish a contract with a three (3) vendors as primary, secondary and tertiary vendors to provide Automotive Body Repairs (collision damage) for the City’s fleet of vehicles
On August 26, 2019, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued, and distributed Invitation for Bids IFB 2019-040 Automotive Body Repairs (collision damage). Eight (8) firms downloaded the IFB from Public Purchase, the City’s web-based e-procurement service.
On September 23, 2019, two (2) bids were received in response to the IFB 2019-040 from Faraco Tip Top Paint & Body Shop and Chino’s Ink Werks, Inc.
The lowest responsive, responsible bidder was found to be Faraco Tip Top Paint & Body and the next lowest responsive, responsible bidder was Chino’s Ink Werks, Inc. The services will be utilized in an estimated annual amount of $50,000.
The Public Works Department Automotive Division and the Procurement Officer recommends awarding the Automotive Body Repairs (collision damage) contract to Faraco Tip Top paint & Body Shop as the primary vendor Chino’s Ink Werks, Inc. as the secondary vendor.
