A Resolution of the City Commission accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award fountain and swimming pool maintenance to Gables Pool & Spa, Inc. as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in an estimated annual amount of $115,400.00 and not to exceed budgeted funds, pursuant to Invitation for Bids (IFB) 2026-004 and Section 2-763 of the City’s Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”.

The purpose of this Invitation for Bids is to establish a contract with a successful bidder for the maintenance of fountains and swimming pools located throughout the City.
On January 26, 2026, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed IFB 2026-004 Fountain and Swimming Pool Maintenance. One hundred and three (103) prospective bidders were notified through INFOR, the City’s web-based e-procurement system.
On March 9, 2026, three (3) responses were received: Gables Pool & Spa, Inc., Oliver’s Pools, Inc., and USA Pools.
The responses were reviewed by the Procurement Division in order to determine responsiveness to the requirements of the IFB. The Procurement Division finalized its’ due diligence process and confirmed that Gables Pool & Spa, Inc., is both responsive to the requirements of the IFB and a responsible firm.
The Public Works Department concurs with the Chief Procurement Officer’s recommendation to award Gables Pool & Spa, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder for a three (3) year term contract with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, in an amount not to exceed budgeted funds.
