Presentation of 20 years service pin to Battalion Chief Carla Rossby, Fire Department.

Carla began her career with the City as a Fire Recruit in February 1990 and completed the training class in March of that year. She achieved EMT status in June 1992, became a State of Florida Fire Service Instructor in 1995 and is currently on the Critical Incident Stress Management Team. She became Fire Lieutenant in June 1996 and Paramedic in August 1996. Carla accepted the challenges and responsibilities of the promotion to Fire Captain (Combat) in December 2000. Carla was appointed to Fire Captain (Battalion) in March 2003, and in March 2009 to the Battalion Chief.
Battalion Chief Rossby controls expenditures and is conscious of budgetary concerns. She is highly motivated, a good problem solver and able to put theory into practice. Chief Rossby is excellent at encouraging innovation from her staff; and she constantly develops new approaches to old problems.
The City appreciates and recognizes Battalion Chief Rossby for her 20 years of dedicated and loyal service to her department and community.
