Resolution authorizing the extension of the existing contract with Micro Security Solutions for a period through May 31, 2010 in an amount not to exceed $150,000 for Security Equipment Installation and Maintenance of CCTV Systems, Access Control Systems, Fire alarm systems and all associated software, hardware and accessories.

Brief History
Pursuant to Resolution No. 2008-73, Micro Security Solutions’ contract for providing security equipment installation and maintenance expired June 1, 2009. This Resolution seeks to extend Micro Security Solution’s contract for an additional one year in order to complete the design and installation of various security systems at the Coral Gables Museum, Police Department and Coral Gables Youth Center, in addition to providing citywide security equipment installation and maintenance. The design and installation of the security system at the Coral Gables Museum is not completed and requires the continuation of services by Micro Security Solutions to complete the project.
By May 31, 2010, it is expected that the procurement process to bring a new security systems vendor on board with the City will be completed.
Compensation to Micro Security Solutions will be apportioned through each individually funded project.
