The Police Department is requesting to purchase Marrero Armor ballistic plates crucial for the safety of its Officers in the line of duty.  These plates provide additional protection from high powered weapons.  Tactical Edge Consulting, LLC is the authorized sole source sales representative for the product lines of Marrero Armor LLC.

 

 

Recommended Action

That the City Commission accepts the recommendation and authorizes the City Manager to authorized the Police Department to purchase these ballistic plated for an estimated amount of $95,000.00 for FY26 and FY27 pursuant to Section 2-689 of the City's Procurement Code.
