Body

The City of Coral Gables has been awarded Grant Agreement No. PW006 by the Florida Department of Law Enforcement in the amount of $250,000 and was adopted by the City Commission via Resolution 2025-325.

The high-water rescue vehicle significantly strengthens the Coral Gables Police Department’s border protection capabilities by providing enhanced mobility along the City’s extensive coastline and flood-prone areas.

Sherp USA is the only Vendor that sells units specific for the tasks required. Sherp USA has developed and manufacturer pre-installed accessories that are required for the needs of the Police Department.

Section 2-691 of the Procurement Code entitled “Special Procurement/Bid Waiver” authorizes the Chief Procurement Officer to initiate a special procurement/bid waiver when an unusual or unique situation exists that makes the application of all requirements of competitive sealed bidding or competitive sealed proposal contrary to the public interest
