Brief History
Pursuant to Resolution 2006-188, the City of Coral Gables entered into an agreement with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection, (DEP) to receive and administer a matching grant to provide financial assistance for the Coral Gables Waterway Dredging Project. The City subsequently retained the services of the consulting firm of Milian, Swain & Associates to prepare and complete the construction plans and specification and secure the requisite permits.  The project was later bid and a contract was awarded to Shoreline Foundation, Inc.
This amendment extends the project completion date from September 30, 2011 to December 31, 2011 and revises the Project Work Plan to include a change in the scope of work to reflect previously agreed upon permit requirements.  In addition, the amendment restructures the matching fund requirements to allow the City's match to include a grant from the South Florida Water Management District.  This last change allows the City to realize a savings of $250,000 through the restructured matching fund requirement.
