Congratulations to Lt. Jack Kerns, recipient of the City of Coral Gables Firefighter of the Month Award, for the month of July 2010.

Lieutenant Jack Kerns was selected as July’s Firefighter of the Month for his outstanding display of individual initiative surpassing job requirements and expectations, specifically going the extra mile to make Emergency Medical Services (EMS) training interesting, productive, and fun for Fire Department personnel and the public.  Lieutenant Kerns’ enthusiasm is infectious and this shows in the quality of the product he delivers.  His hard work and “can do” attitude undoubtedly have made him the “go to” guy for the field medics and has helped to make Coral Gables paramedic crews among the best in the State.
