A Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the William H. Kerdyk Tennis Center Renovation contract to State Contract and Engineering, Inc., pursuant to Request for Proposal (RFP) 2014.07.01, and Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code entitled “Contract Award”; and authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2013-2014 Annual Budget to recognize as revenue a transfer from the Capital Improvement Fund Reserve and appropriating such funds to put toward the cost of the project.

This project involves renovation to the tennis center facility located at 1150 Anastasia Avenue, Coral Gables, FL. consisting of improvements to existing tennis courts, new sports lighting, plaza and pavers, fencing, entrance pavilion, shade shelters, landscaping, irrigation and drainage.
On July 1, 2014, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued, and distributed the William H. Kerdyk Tennis Center Renovation RFP 2014.07.01. On July 9, 2014, a non-mandatory pre-proposal conference was held with five (5) prospective proposers in attendance of the ten (10) proposers who obtained the RFP package from the Procurement Division. A site visit was scheduled for July 29, 2014, which six (6) proposers attended. On August 7, 2014, four (4) proposals were received in response to RFP 2014.07.01 from ABC Construction, JCM Development Group, Inc., State Contracting & Engineering and TC&F Builders Corporation.
On September 2, 2014, the Evaluation Committee convened to evaluate the four (4) responsive proposals with State Contract and Engineering, Inc., determined to be the most responsive and responsible proposer. It is the recommendation of the Evaluation Committee to award the William H. Kerdyk Tennis Center Renovation Project to State Contracting & Engineering, Inc., in the amount of $2,177,070.
