Title

A Resolution of the City Commission authorizing the acceptance of a State of Florida Department of Transportation Litter Control and Prevention Grant in the amount of $15,000 to be put towards the "Keep Coral Gables Beautiful" initiative; authorizing the execution of Grant Agreement No. G3530, and authorizing an amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Annual Budget to recognize the $15,000 grant as revenue and to appropriate such funds to put toward the cost of the program.

Body

The City was awarded a Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Litter Control and Prevention Grant for the Keep Coral Gables Beautiful program in the amount of $15,000. Funds for the grant were appropriated by the Florida Legislature in Fiscal Year 2024/2025 to FDOT in order to provide funding for litter prevention and control programs through a certified Keep America Beautiful (KAB) Affiliate at the local level.

FDOT agrees to reimburse the City in an amount not to exceed the grant total of $15,000 for actual costs incurred by Keep Coral Gables Beautiful for program execution.

An amendment to the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 Annual Budget is required to recognize the $15,000 grant funds as revenue and to appropriate such funds to cover the cost of the grant expenditures.
