Resolution accepting the recommendation of the Chief Procurement Officer to award the Sunrise Harbor Park Renovation Project to Leadex Corporation pursuant to Section 2-828 of the Procurement Code and Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2009.05.28 in the amount of $156,960 (One Hundred Fifty Six Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Dollars). Project to be funded by Miami Dade General Obligation Bond Fund.
Brief History
The Sunrise Harbor Park Renovation Project consists of the installation and construction of new playground equipment, a wood trellis, basketball court, parking facilities, metal fencing and landscaping at Sunrise Park located at Sunrise Avenue and Douglas Road.
On May 28, 2009, the Procurement Division of Finance formally advertised, issued and distributed the Sunrise Harbor Park Renovation Invitation for Bid (IFB) 2009.05.28. On June 4, 2009, a non-mandatory Pre-Bid Conference and site visit was held with 10 (ten) prospective bidders in attendance of seventy-four (74) contractors and subcontractors who downloaded the bid document from the web-site or picked up the bid documents from the Procurement Division of Finance.
On July 2, 2009, nineteen (19) bid responses were received and of those that responded twelve (12) responsive bids were submitted by: Trintec Construction Inc., BMA Construction Inc., Leadex Corporation, Macontec Construction, LLC, OAC Action Construction Corporation, NYC Builders Inc., McBayne’s Construction, Azulejo Inc., Burke Construction Group Inc., Wilham and Associates Inc., All Phase Construction and Development, LLC and SFM Services Inc. Four (4) bids submitted were determined to not be responsive from the following: Andale Group LLC, Linar Construction, Coastal Contracting and Development, Inc., and Professional Building Systems. There were three (3) no bid responses from Praing Associates Inc., Pontifex Construction Group Inc., and Thompson Construction and Development Group, Inc.
